Made in Fresno, CA.
When I settled in Fresno over a decade ago I had no idea the art community that I’d find. I have always had a love for taking used and discarded items and breathing new life into them. My most recent artistic project is taking ‘slop bucket’ clay and reconstituting it. Then I use that clay to throw or hand-build with. Because I use reclaimed clay, each batch produces variations in texture and color, making it a truly unique piece of pottery. My favorite part of the process is sculpting and carving faces onto the pieces I throw. I especially love seeing how people choose to use the things I make. For me, that is when the piece has come full circle, from slop bucket to art.
